Meet Ashley Forrest, Head Trainer
Ashley has long been passionate about animals, particularly dogs. After graduating high school and relocating to Elliott City, Maryland, she adopted her first dog, Jazzmine, a 2-year-old German Shepherd, from the local SPCA in 2017. Faced with Jazzmine’s reactivity and aggression towards people and other animals, Ashley sought the guidance of a professional trainer, which sparked her interest in dog training.Over the next four years, Ashley worked under a local trainer while gaining valuable experience in the veterinary field for two years. She completed a Professional Dog Trainer course at Animal Behavior College in May 2019, further enhancing her expertise. Since adopting Jazzmine, Ashley has welcomed four additional dogs into her family: Odin (American Bulldog Mix), Dixie (Labrador Retriever), Maverick (Great Pyrenees/GSD Mix), and Samson (Catahoula/Mastiff Mix).In May 2024, Ashley completed her OLK9 training in Knoxville, TN, and she is excited to continue her journey with OLK9, further developing her skills and contributing to the well-being of dogs and their owners.
